What is there not to love about Victoria Beckham? She was once apart of the worlds biggest girl band, she is married to one of the greatest football players of all time, she also has the best looking family ever, she is very invested in her charity work and she is a woman of style who has her very own line and is well respected throughout the fashion industry. In addition to releasing her very own affordable collection with target, her collection is going to also cater to the plus size market which is amazing!
Victoria Beckham – “I want to empower women and girls, and make them feel like the best versions of themselves. The fact that I can offer plus size is really exciting, it’s a first for me, and it’s something important that I’m proud of.”
Target has revealed that her upcoming high-street collection which is to hit stores early this April will reflect her “very honest” relationship with her daughter Harper. In an interview with InSyle magazine Victoria said ‘This is fun, easy, cute, all of those things. Very honest. Very me’. In the interview Victoria also spoke about being finally accepted as a “credible” fashion designer, which she says equals her Spice Girl achievements. “I’m really proud of what I achieved with the Spice Girls, but I’m also proud of everything I have done with my brand,” she continued to the publication. “So that meant a lot to me, you know? That’s Tom Ford saying, ‘We look at you as a credible designer,’ which was very cool.”
“I can reach so many more women through working with Target. It’s not just because of the price point but because of how many stores that they have, located all around America. These are women that I haven’t been able to reach out to in the past, and I always say that I want to empower women and make women look like the best versions of themselves. That shouldn’t be only people who can afford to spend a certain amount of money,” Victoria told Business of Fashion.
The Collection
The collection celebrates a love between a mother and daughter, Beckham said that she looked to things that her and Harper both liked to do together, like pressing flowers, for design ideas. “I know what Harper likes to wear; kids want to be comfortable,” she continued. “I’ve taken everything I learned as a mum and put it into the collection.”
Her collection is truly full of love and everything else that we associate with the word. This can be seen through every single piece that is presented. The entire collection is beyond words, Victoria truly out did her self! Every item is absolute perfection and I honestly want to buy everything within the collection! This is honestly such a a beautiful collaboration and I can already tell that it is going to sell out fast because it is everything that we need this summer; it is bright, fresh, fun, vibrant and free!

Just less than 2 months ago Clare Waight Keller officially resigned from her post at Chloe but last week the house of Givenchy announced that Ms Waight Keller would become their new creative director. This makes her the first woman to run the creative side of the house founded by Hubert de Givenchy in 1952 and the second female designer to take the creative lead at an LVMH couture house after Maria Grazia Chiuri at Christian Dior. LVMH is slowly changing perceptions of roles in fashion, the largest luxury group in the world is increasingly focused on the talents of female designers, and changing a historical pattern. This news comes after the departure of Riccardo Tisci in January after a 12 year reign at the famous fashion house.
“I am very happy to have Clare Waight Keller join the LVMH group,” said Bernard Arnault, chairman of LVMH. “I believe her widespread expertise and vision will allow Givenchy to enter the next phase of its unique path.”
Philippe Fortunato, CEO of Givenchy Couture, who said: “I am very excited to see Clare bring her singular sense of elegance and modernity to Givenchy. By exploring our maison’s 65-year heritage and the outstanding savoir-faire of its ateliers, I am convinced Clare will help Givenchy reach its full potential.”
She has no experience in haute couture so It will be interesting to see Keller’s vision for the brand come to life. Waight Keller will present her first collection for Givenchy in October in Paris, for Spring/Summer 2018. She is the complete opposite of Riccardo, she is known for her femininity, modernity and elegance, whereas, Tisci was a man known for cutting edge street wear fashion notoriously achieving distinctive graphic sweatshirts, sneakers and sportswear-inspired garments.

Mom jeans, another trend from the 90’s that is currently dominating the world right now! Recently fashionistas everywhere have been swapping out skinny jeans for Mom jeans. But who can blame them? Mom jeans are incredibly flattening and extremely comfortable, whether you have hips or not they will hug you in all the right places. The skinny jean is officially dead!
Over the last two years numerous fashion retailers such as net- a- porter and Asos have reported an increase in sales on jeans, however not in skinny jeans. Last year alone Asos sold over 12,000 of it’s blue ‘Farleigh’ Mom jean, which are priced at an incredibly £35. Bargain right? Although skinny jeans may not be as popular as they used to be, we are buying more jeans than ever before!
But where did it all go wrong for skinny jeans? ‘Jeggings ruined them,’ says Donna Wallace, ELLE’s Accessories Editor, who currently favours a pair of Lee straight-leg men’s jeans that she’s cut off at the hems. ‘As soon as they started bastardising the denim and putting in too much stretch, it became trashy.’
Fashion and the way that we shop has changed so much in the last few years and our perceptions of what we once thought of as cool and stylish have shifted in a big way. People and designers are experimenting more and it’s truly amazing to see. The new wave of denim only proves to us that fashion is constantly changing, becoming more and more daring everyday which is so exciting. With thousands of influencers out there showing us how to rock our denim it’s almost impossible not to cop their style.
Social Media has allowed us to see how real people make clothes and trends work for them. Inspiration nowadays is everywhere, it’s right at our fingertips. This has undeniably allowed us to be more adventurous and more confident in our fashion choices. No wonder denim is so diverse now!
My favourite source of mom jeans;
Topshop and Asos are my holy grail when it comes to denim! You will never find jeans as comfy as these on the high street, trust me.

If there is anything that I love in this world, it’s bags, more specifically designer bags! The material, the design, the quality, just everything about them! I still haven’t received by first designer bag as of yet and until that day comes I will continue to add bags that I cannot afford to my ever growing and never ending wishlist. if I had the money I would probably own more designer bags than the Kardashian sisters combined! That is no lie.
My love for bags probably began when my mum bought me my first ever tiny denim hand bag at the innocent age of 4, I took it everywhere I went and ever since then I have adored bags. I have always envisioned that the first designer bag I will ever buy myself will be a Chanel, more precise a boy bag, there is no doubt about it!
Spring is coming and I cannot wait to be done with winter. Spring may not be my favourite season but it is one step closer to summer and that means brighter, warmer and longer days for us here in the UK. And as much as I love a good quality knit I cannot wait to get my legs out and embrace the sun. I am ready for spring, I am ready for brighter and warmer days, I am ready for summer!
Last season embroidered bags were everywhere and this year is certainly no different. For this coming season of spring designers brought out so many bold designs with the brightest of colours. Spring has never been so colourful!
My favourite bags for the season

Knowing what to wear to any type of interview can be quite a task. For one you want to make a good first impression but you also need to feel comfortable and let your personality shine, that way the person your sitting in front of can get a sense of who you are as a person.
What to never wear to an interview:
- A Short skirt
- Bright Underwear that is visible through clothing
- Wet hair
- distracting jewellery (keep it simple)
- Visible body piercings and huge tattoos
- Anything casual; jeans, t-shirts, trainers etc. Whether or not you’re applying for a job that will require formal dress, you should always choose something formal for the interview.
The rules of what to wear to a job interview;
- Comfort
- Confidence
- A smile
- Colour (but not too much)
- And of course a great pair of shoes

Is it just me or are the late 90s and early 2000s coming back more popular than ever? I am a 2000s baby and I love 90s fashion so for me this is a dream come true but for most of you it’s probably a spot of dejavu.
If you thought athleisure wear was popular last year, you haven’t seen anything yet as I predict that it will hit its peak this year in the year of 2017. Never has it ever been more acceptable than it is now to wear your workout clothes outside of the gym. The rise of athleisure wear has called for traditional designers and high street stores around the world to release their own collections or in some cases collaborate with sports brands such as adidas to create their own collections to cater to the mass of people following this rapidly growing trend. Going from the gym to the office has never looked so good!
Before athleisure wear became so popular there was a time that people would rather be caught dead than seen in joggers and a baggy tshirt but now everyone embraces it; paring joggers with heels and rocking over sized tshirts with statement jackets to add all that bit of spark to an outfit. You can’t go wrong with the perfect combination of Comfort and style. However there’s a point where it no longer looks cute or chic in anyway and it just looks chavvy (as the British would say). You want to look as effortlessly as possible so that u don’t seem to be trying to hard but when in actual fact you spent the entire night thinking about your outfit ( but no one has to know, that’s our secret).
Brands such as vestments are fuelling this trend and I Adore their collection of athleisure wear especially their collaboration with champions – a brand that was extremely popular in the late 90s/ early 2000s, the brand is so creative in their way of thinking and how they have put their own personal and unique touch on the the ever growing trend of athleisure wear.
Many celebrities have been rocking this trend day in and day out so why not cop some of their outfits?

Today is a sad day for the fashion industry as after 12 years and 93 stunning collections as the creative director at Givenchy, Riccardo Tisci has decided to make his exit from the famously chic fashion house. Sadly, his menswear and couture collections shown together in Paris last month were his last collections as a Givenchy designer, so unfortunately we will not be seeing him take his bow at this years upcoming ready- to- wear shows. It is reported that the forthcoming autumn/winter 2017 collection is to be completed by the studio team.
During his years at Givenchy Riccardo was able to revive the house for the new generation of upcoming luxury consumers also known as us, his ideas created a foundation for the future of Givenchy and turned it into the brand that we know and love today, he was a man that was not afraid to try new thing, he took risks, he pushed boundaries, he broke rules that we didn’t even know could be broken,he was open mined and open to anything and everything.
From designing highly embellished haute couture gowns to distinctive graphic sweatshirts, sneakers and sportswear-inspired garments, he did it all! He was able to incorporate street wear into a brand that was once just soley couture. Riccardo lived and breathed life into the brand’s womenswear, menswear and accessories lines, he is regarded as one of the most creative people fashion has ever seen and greatly credited for resurrecting the brand with his dark, sensual and subversive collections over the years.
Tisci was one of the very few luxury designers that embraced diversity when it came to who he hired he always included a range of women and men to wear his clothes – across all ages, backgrounds, ethnicity, religion and gender. He was one of the first designers to cast a transgender model: Lea Twho appeared in the autumn/winter 2010 Givenchy campaign. Tisci was one of the first creative directors to actually engage with the outside world and be able to appeal to the average person which is why Givenchy is so popular and will remain popular for generations to come.
I am going to miss Tsci greatly he was just what Givechy needed, without him I don’t think the french brand would be as poular as it is today, you could say that he came at just the right time. Tisci is selective when it comes to his muses, he was one of the very first designers to appreciate Kim Kardashian, he custom made her wedding dress (talk about friendship goals) following a friendship with her husband Kanye West who loved Riccardo’s menswear and streetwear collections. Before Riccardo Kim Kardashian was looked down upon by so many designers in the industry because of the way in which she became famous but he was able to change their perceptions of her and she is now close friends with almost eveyone who is anyone in the industry.
Riccardo Tisci is loved by so many people around the world, designers, fashion bloggers, critics, models and a ray of celebrities, he’s a very popular guy and will be greatly missed among fashion loves, hopefully he will be back soon but the question is where?
Bernard Arnault, the CEO of LVMH, said in a statement: “The chapter Riccardo Tisci has written with the house of Givenchy over the last 12 years represents an incredible vision to sustain its continuous success, and I would like to warmly thank him for his core contribution to the house’s development.” Tisci’s comments gave nothing away: “I want to thank the LVMH group and monsieur Bernard Arnault for giving me the platform to express my creativity over the years. I now wish to focus on my personal interests and passions.”

Couture week ended just over a week ago and it still forever remains my favourite version of fashion week! Nothing will ever beat couture week for me, it is the most extravagant and elaborate week of fashion. Although the average person may never be able to afford couture or even know how and where to wear it, it’s always nice to look at and fantasise about. Right?
Of course Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner ruled the couture week runway this year, the models of the moment, they are the Cindy Crawford’s of this generation and will be remembered for generations as the models of the 2010s and the social media queens of our generation.
We never know what to expect when it comes to haute couture because it is nothing like your average fashion week! Some designers like to keep it simple and classic whilst others like to think outside of the box and go all out for the most luxurious week in fashion.
Chanel
My favourite show by far was Chanel, Karl Largafeld is the king of the fashion industry and is so incredibly creative in the way that he expresses his ideas through fashion, he is able to still keep the classic Chanel look but then adds a twist in order to fit the trends of the season, which is amazing. And his muse and inspiration Lily Depp looked lost her haute couture virginity as she closed the show alongside the man himself. In my opinion the day Mr Largafeld steps down will be a very sad day for fashion. I don’t think anyone will ever be able to live up to him, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Valentino
Another favourite of mine was the Valentino show. The clothes were so made for the year of 2017; they were almost heavenly in a way with the pallets of colours used and the way that the pieces flowed across the runway. The hints of bold colours involved in the show definitely stood out and made such a bold first impression!
Elie Saab
In addition to this, the Elie Saab show was breathtaking, the Ellie Saab show gets better and better every year! I loved every single piece in the collection, every attention detail was done to absolute perfection! And I think if we learnt anything from Elie Saab it is that naked dresses are here to stay and are surely not going out of style any time soon.
Zuhair Murad
This year we saw a lot of bold colours presented on the zuhair murad runway and the reveal of the huge wedding dress just made the show for me, it was so unexpected yet expected at the same time. I couldn’t take my eyes off of the entire show, I was completely Mesmerised.
Jean Paul Gaultier
The jean Paul Gaultier show was nothing if not extremely tailored for the modern day woman. The bold patterns and colours made such a huge statement on the runway and I love jean Paul for doing this, I truly feel like he captured the idea of what it means to be a woman in a society like today’s through his clothes.
