So in case, you haven’t realised I am obsessed with everything Luxury and I have always wanted to own a luxury watch, they are the most timeless of pieces. This has never been more evident in a world of smartphones and smartwatches where people are still opting for the simple classical watch. It is the one staple every man and woman need in their lives.
Mark my words when I say that almost every luxury item is an Investment piece, therefore these decisions cannot be too rash, especially when it comes to watches. Too many sites sell fake watches so you need to be careful where you put your money because these are not cheap, that is not the only thing you have to consider. There are so many aspects to luxury watch buying including; Am I going to purchase a new one or look for a pre-owned one? How much am I willing to spend? What material am I going for? What year is going to be from? How thick do I want it to be? and so much more!
My number one go-to site is Chronoexpert.co.uk for me it’s like the Vestaire collective but for watches. This is the true definition of a niche brand that is catering to the specific needs and wants of consumers. Just like Vestaire Chronoexpert.co.uk has a strict policy against counterfeits and copies and only sells AUTHENTIC watches. Each watch is put through a complex verification process, where a team of experts follows a multi-layered verification process to ensure that each piece is genuine. So you don’t have to worry about buying any fakes! My favourites on the site are the three holy grails; Cartier, Rolex and Omega! These are like the Chanel boy bag, Lady Dior and Hermes Birkin of the watch industry.
The company’s CEO, Pablo Martín said in a statement: “Our goal is to shift from the more traditional buying experience to the online world while maintaining the customer’s trust throughout the entire process. Therefore, along with other benefits, the platform offers a 14-day return policy and 12 months of additional warranty.”
This is definitely the companies USP as I have never heard of a luxury marketplace that offers returns. I think that this is something they should all have as I’m sure I’m not the only one who has ever ordered something online and changed my mind once it got here or it wasn’t exactly what I had in mind. Considering how expensive the watch you buy may be, this is essential!
It’s been a long time, a very long time since I did a “what I would buy if I won the lottery”, it has been an entire year in fact and more if I’m being completely honest. WOW. I have missed this series, it was the one time I could look at ridiculously expensive s*** and feed peoples spending habits with ridiculously crazy ideas that they probably don’t need, but guess what, I’m back and I’m better than ever. Get ready to wish you were super rich because I wish I was 🙁
I’m not a car person nor have I ever been but I feel like if I was stupid rich I’d want a collection of cars; one for every day of the week, every occasion and one for every mood and of course one to match my outfits in a various number of colours (fashion doesn’t just stop at clothing, it’s a lifestyle) – I think It’s pretty evident that my shopping habit doesn’t stop with clothes lol.
My favourite most expensive cars in the world:
Bugatti Chiron – £1.9m
Ferrari Pininfarina Sergio – £2.3 million
Lykan Hypersport – £2.6 million
Sweptail Rolls Royce – £9.9 Million
Mercedes-Benz Maybach Exelero – £6.1 million
I don’t think anyone understands how excited I am for summer! This is the season that I shine most, my outfits are always on point, my skin is popping 24/7and It is the time where I am least stressed and at my happiest. I feel like the older I become the more I appreciate summer because I know that the closer I get to adulthood the less time I’ll have to enjoy it. Do you know how sad that is, the real world is honestly a trap.
This summer is going to be so different from the last, don’t get me wrong I had fun last year, but I spent most of it working in a place that I hated. Retail is not all that it seems to be, working in Topshop last year really made me realise that working for someone else that is not me is not for me! As soon as I finish my exams I am off on a road trip across Europe, then I am off to afronation in Portugal two weeks after. This is literally going to bet the best summer of my life and I cannot wait, the only thing that could top it off is if I could go back to Zim for a few weeks too to see my family! It’s only been two years but it honestly feels like a lifetime since I last saw them.
As Victoria Beckham once tweeted, the airport is her runway (an amazing pun if you ask me), so every airport I hit this year has to see me looking stylish AF. Thinking about it I don’t there has ever been a time where I looked “rough” at the airport whilst travelling. When I was younger I remember my mum would always ensure that I looked my absolute best whenever we were travelling to SA/ Zim to see family so she’d dress me in the cutest dresses or co-ords which I would carry with my new shoulder bag (she always bought me one every single year without year before we travelled, she’s the reason for my obsession with bags) and pair with some cute sandals or even heels. Litlle Ivis was ahead with her airport fashion thanks to mama Ngwenya. As I have gotten older and developed my own style, comfort is key to me when it comes to an airport outfit so I opt for things that look stylish but that I can still breathe in, especially if it’s a long haul flight, it also depends on the destination which is why dressing to the airport will always be a struggle, there are way too many factors that come into play.
If you don’t quite know what to wear to the airport this summer, here are some ideas;

In case you didn’t get the memo, satin is no longer just something to wear in the bedroom, underwear is officially the new outerwear and has been for a while now, I mean look at how mainstream the lace bodysuit has become. Fashion is as free and expressive as it has ever been.
I think satin has been around since 2015/16 but I’m not 100% sure because it has only been super popular maybe for the last year and a half, max. By popular I mean it has been all over instagram, our favourite celebrities have been sporting it and of course, our high street stores like Topshop, PLT and River Island have been jumping onto the hype. I remember I bought my first satin top in 2015 (talk about being fashion forward), I bought a pyjama style top from misguided and to this day my mum takes the piss out of me every time I wear it, she literally says are you going to bed every time I wear it but I still love it!
Satin, is the fabric that is dominating 2019 and I am LIVING for it. What I love most about this fabric is how effortless it is, this is the one fabric that you can literally just dash on with a simple casual T-shirt underneath (if you’re wearing a satin top) and a nice pair of mom jeans and it would look like you made an effort when in reality you didn’t. You can either dress it up or dress it down, it is so versatile! It is also extremely comfortable and just overall amazing. From skirts to tops, shorts, dresses (my favourite) and how can I forget, pants however I’m talking wide leg because skinny satin/silk pants in the summer is not a good combo, especially if you sweat a lot like me, that fabric will be stuck to you like glue the entire time. And I am not joking, so please don’t try it, plus I highly doubt anyone could ever create a cute pair of skinny satin pants that I would see myself purchasing, to me that is not a vibe, it’s a fashion disaster.
Flowy midi skirts and midi dresses are not my style. If I wear a midi skirt or dress it has to be tight, that’s what works best for me and my body type and also my height, I’m 5’2 so it gives the illusion that I’m taller than I really am in photos. I think this is what has stopped me from buying satin dresses and skirts in the past because I didn’t think they’d look good on me but boy was I wrong! I purchased the cutest leopard satin slip dress from Topshop in January and I have been obsessed ever since. Everyone needs a satin slip dress in their lives, it fits perfectly in all of the right places, it makes your body look BOMB AF and it suits all body types. A little tip; if you can’t find anything nice in Satin try the underwear section of your favourite clothing store, never fails me.
I have loved seeing the way people have been styling satin on Instagram and Pinterest, satin dress or skirt with a pair of Doc Martens and chunky trainers that is a vibe and so much more, here are my favourite satin piece ATM.

I have always been a person to say wear whatever the hell you want because as I always say fashion is an art and should be expressed however you please, however, over the years I have come to learn that wearing the right colours helps massively in bringing out your complexion, eye colour and just overall making you look x10 better! For example, I am a dark skinned girl and most bright colours look AMAZING on us, think neon pink, orange, green and bright yellows etc. The way they bring out my complexion is unmatched!
You’re warm if …
Your hair colour: Ranges from dark brown to dark blonde hair. Your skin tone: Has a greenish or a yellowish (golden) undertone. Olive complexions also fall in the warm category. Your go-to colours in the warm colour family: Oranges, reds, golden yellow, amber, honey gold. Your go-to colours in the cool colour family: Warmer greens and blues, like olive, deeper turquoise, green moss, fern, pesto, red purples (think: magenta and orchid shades).Your neutrals: Taupe, hot chocolate, creamy whites, winter wheat, latte. Colours that are tough for you: Icy shades, jewelled tones (amethyst, sapphire, ruby).Celebrity doppelgangers: Jessica Alba and Jennifer Lopez.
You’re cool if …
Your hair colour: It can range from very dark (blue black or very dark brown) to light blonde. Your skin tone: Has a bluish undertone. It can also range from very fair to very dark. Your go-to colours in the cool colour family: Bright blue, royal blue, sapphire, emerald, amethyst, deep purples, lavender, lilac snow. Your go-to colours in the warm colour family: Shocking pick (versus hot pink, which is warm), cerise, ruby, bright rose. Your neutrals: Gray, navy, pristine white. Colours that are tough for you: Oranges and yellows. Celebrity doppelgangers: Cate Blanchett and Viola Davis.
You’re neutral if …
Your hair colour: Is a combination of colours—blonde with ashy streaks or brown with warmer tones. Your eye colour: Is hazel (most neutrals have hazel eyes because it changes depending on what colour they wear).Your skin tone: Hard to determine—you can’t tell if you’re warm or cool. Your go-to colours: Neutral colours that fall in the middle of the colour spectrum. Look for light peach, dusty pinks, soft rose, peony pink (blush-toned pinks look best for neutrals), placid blue, jade green, cameo green. Colours that are tough for you: Anything too bright or vibrant that can overwhelm, reds and yellows (if you do a yellow, try a soft version, like cornsilk or buff). Your neutrals: Taupes, greys, off-whites (like vanilla). Celebrity doppelgangers: Angelina Jolie and Rachel McAdams.
If anyone knows me they know that I LOVE trainers, I literally live in them. If I could afford to I’d have 100s of them. I just feel like trainers are the perfect shoe to wear with a “formal” outfit to make it causal and worthy to wear during the day, especially during the summer. If you are a person that doesn’t normally wear trainers or own any or you just simply need ideas on what to buy next then you have come to the right place because today I am going to give you a list of the absolute essentials that you should own. These are the trainers that go with EVERYTHING and that you honestly cannot go your entire life without owning;
ALL STAR HIGH TOP CONVERSE
Can we all take a moment to cry about the fact that about 10 years ago you could buy converse for around £30 🙁 If you have never purchased a pair of converse I recommend to choose your exact size or go a size up as they can be quite tight fitting and you need them to be as comfy as possible because they are very flat meaning that they tend to hurt your feet a lot quicker than normal trainers when you first get them, but it just takes a little getting used to. These look amazing with slip dresses and midi satin skirts!
SLIP ON VANS
If you don’t like the look of laces, hate them or you simply can’t tie your laces this is the trainer for you. All you have to do is slip them on and you’re out of the door just like that, hence the name slip on vans. These are super super comfy and just like the converse, I recommend that you go a size up if you have wide feet or stick to your normal size if you have normal feet. For these, I’d suggest that once you have broken them in stuff some socks in them or something to ensure that they don’t curl up as they tend to do this once they get old and lose their original straight shape.
AIR FORCE 1s
These have to be my favourite trainers of all time! These go with anything and everything. The only downfall is that they crease and once they do they’re no longer nice so please if you purchase a pair buy a sneaker shield to wear with them to ensure that they keep their shape!
From an early age I have never really been a backpack kind of girl, I remember I was so adamant to not carry one throughout the whole of high school despite the number of times my mother told me a handbag was not suitable for books or my back but they do say beauty is pain. Plus a handbag looked WAY better with my uniform, I wasn’t going to allow a backpack to ruin it. I also feel as though it wasn’t until now that shops and designers actually began making backpacks for us women – back in the day (2 – 6 years ago lol) I felt like the only backpacks I could choose from were for men and they were sport brands like Adidas and Nike, there wasn’t really any “fashionable” backpacks around. For me a bag is a representation of your style or personality and for me I could never find a backpack that was able to represent those two elements so I was never really interested in purchasing one and to this day I can’t say I have ever bought one for myself EVER, however, for my 15th birthday, I remember my brothers bought me a cute mini one which I carried on every school trip I went on, so you could say they are handy in more ways than one.
I can’t say that I’m surprised by the fact that backpacks are as big as handbags this year, after all along with the shoulder bag they were the bags of the 90s. these two styles are all about hands-free movement, but with the backpack, it’s a lot more practical as you can fit a lot more in there than your lipstick and a flip phone. The backpack has come of age and is now no longer formally associated with hiking holidays and sightseeing tourists, it is available in more styles than before and in endless iterations, from micro-mini styles to large retro rucksacks.
