When I tell you the law of attraction is so real, I cannot express to you how powerful words are! Essentially, the law of attraction states that whatever consumes your thoughts is what you will eventually get in life. So, if you think of all the things you don’t want in your life, you’ll only get the things you don’t want. In other words, “thoughts can become things” and we have the ability to create our own realities. Therefore positive affirmations will 99% of the time result in the life you want to live. However what most people don’t understand when it comes to speaking things into existence (I think I have mentioned this in one of my decade posts) is the fact that you need to work towards your affirmations, you can not say that you will be a millionaire and just sit at home expecting the universe to deliver. As much as life is about luck, it is also about hard work! But another thing that people also need to understand is that the universe may not give you exactly what you want or deliver in the way you expected but in the end, you will eventually be where you’re meant to be, things that “don’t go to plan” often end up being the things that change your life for the better, help you find happiness and move you away from things that were never really right for you. Rejection is the best redirection!
Sorry for the spiritual waffle but I had to give you guys some context on my trip. I remember from the minute I started high school I had always said that I would interracial across Europe with my friends when I turn 18 but as you can tell by the title that didn’t happen, instead I got to road trip across Europe with my cousin and it has to be the best experience of my entire life and I am so grateful every day that I got to do that! We spent 2 weeks travelling in a range rover like the bouijee bitches that we are lol (the two of us would not last an hour on an interracial train because we’re high maintenance af) – we went to Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Itlay and ended our trip in the south of France. Anyone who has ever thought of going on a road trip I would 100% recommend it, it’s a memory that I will treasure for my entire life and definitely something I wanna do when I have a family of my own. Imagine how amazing it would be to go on an adventure full of culture with your husband and children! I can’t wait!!!
I remember at the start of the year I had proclaimed that I had wanted to travel a lot in 2019 but God delivered in ways I could never have imagined and I am forever grateful that I went to so many places last year and I cannot wait to give you guys more of an insight into my personal life because I feel like I never really let you in on my life as an individual, I just voice my opinions on the things I blog about. But I mean there’s no better time to start a new blog series than RN, after all, we have all the time in the world in this self-isolation period. And who knows, I might give you guys a little inspiration on where to go when all of this is over! Stay safe and keep hoping!
Stop One – Luxembourg
So my cousin actually lives in Luxembourg and this is where I started my journey. I had always thought that Luxembourg was in the South of France but it turns out that it’s actually surrounded by Belgium, France and Germany. This is one of the world smallest countries and without a doubt the cleanest and safest country I have ever been to as well! This girl told me she lived in the ghetto, so being from England I was expecting the worst, but I soon realised that what I would refer to as ghetto is completely different to what Luxembourgers refer to as a ghetto. – there was literally a cute bakery across the road and a Sephora less than 15ft away. Literally everyone in this country is the definition of class – from the way they live to their etiquette to where they shop to where they eat and what eat. I felt like I had entered a completely new world and I loved it! If I was to ever become a country it would be Luxembourg, it is me in so many ways; everything in that city/country is luxurious, stylish, classy, clean and just wow.
I was only here for about a day and a half but can I just say how expensive McDonalds in that country is loool – when I saw the prices best believe I almost had a heart attack. It’s quite a small city so I spent my day touring and entering luxury boutiques and this has to be my favourite thing about Luxembourg; their customer service is undefeated. Have you noticed that when you walk into the likes of Gucci, Chanel and YSL etc here in the U.K. the workers look at you as if you can’t afford the items their selling, over there it’s the complete opposite and they treat you with the uttermost respect, they treat everyone who walks in the same, they do not discriminate which is why you will never catch me at Champs-Élysées, Luxembourg is my number one when it comes to luxury shopping!
For those you that don’t know I am Zimbabwean and this is my beloved hometown! Full of wide tree-lined avenues, parks and charming colonial architecture, Bulawayo is truly hidden treasure in my motherland! For years, ever since I could literally crawl my mum has always gone on and on about how beautiful the city of Bulawayo was and I could not agree with her more. I have been going back to Zim every year, sometimes even twice a year since I was 5 but it wasn’t until my latest trip in December 2019 that I truly got to appreciate the beauty of my city. Nothing much has changed from the early 20th century and I guess that is what I love most about the town, the buildings give me such New Orleans vibes! Honestly, if any of you are ever in Zim please stop by Bulawayo because I promise you, you will not regret it!
Fun Fact; Bulawayo’s claim to fame is that it had electric lighting (switched on in 1897) before London did! The population today remains majority Ndebele.

Before my mother became a nurse, she was a primary school teacher in Zim and naturally she has been to all these places on school trips and she has also promised to take me since I was 5 and 14 years later I still haven’t been to any, however this year I wanna explore more of Bulawayo so I plan on going home for at least 5 weeks just to tour my city and see everything that it has to offer!

Zimbabweans are known to be big drinkers so of course, I had to recommend to you some bars to drink at! Be warned tho, Zims don’t play when it comes to alcohol, these people drink alcohol straight with just ice, they don’t know what mixers are, it’s horrendous but I kid you not, the nightlife is short of boring. My best nights out were in Bulawayo, as in nothing can compete!

I am such a foodie and when I tell you, the food not just in Bulawayo, but in Zimbabwe, in general, is the best. NO CAP! There is no other country that provides flavour as this one does, whether you go to a restaurant or take away shop, you will not be disappointed with the food, ITS THAT AMAZING
I feel like 2019 was the year of trips. Every single day on my Instagram all I saw was influence taking trips and being taken on trips. I even I took some trips last year, I went to the most amazing places with the most amazing people and that is why for me, despite all the mental challenges I faced in 2019, it was also one of the best years of my entire life and it can only get better from there.
Ever since I was a little girl I always said to myself that when I turn 18 I am going to pick up my passport and travel the world and that’s exactly what I did. My blog is even evidence of this, scroll back to every single travel post that I have ever done and you will literally see me screaming when I turn 18 I am going to travel the world, I am going to experience this, I’m going to do that and it’s just so incredible to me to think that that’s exactly what happened. When I tell you guys the law attraction along with the idea of speaking things into existence are two of the most powerful things in this world and something that has changed my life for the better, if you really believe in something then it really will happen. Ever since I read the secret in 2018 everything in my life makes so much more sense, literally! Everything that I have ever said and dreamed of in terms of travel came true for me last year. I went on a fucking road trip across Europe (which I can say was a lot better than the Interrail and staying in hostels, because I’m high maintenance af)!!!
I lived the dream this summer; I went to Italy, Milan to be specific, one of the fashion Capitals of the world. I went to Lake Como one of the most beautiful places on the Italian Riviera and I travelled to Barcelona, a city so rich in culture with the most amazing food.I also went to Switzerland, when I tell you the scenery in that place is so breathtaking you’d think that it was something out of a film. And to top my year off, I went to Victoria Falls, one of the wonders of the world and at that moment I have never felt so blessed and so grateful for my life because really and truly how many 18-year-olds can say that they have travelled to that many places in such a short space of time. I lived life last year and I plan to live life again this year and every year from now on. I am all about more experiences, meeting new people and just living because like my blog says I am a collector of memories and experiences, not things.
If there is one piece of advice that I can give you this decade, is if you have the resources, travel as much as possible!
Fun fact: I studied A-level business for two years and last year our fieldwork involved us doing research on the holiday industry and during that we learnt about the 10 most popular holiday destination of the decade so I just wanted to share those with you guys and so that you can see the progression in the type of holidays that we take as people because if you think about it we are so obsessed with social media and sharing a holiday experiences with people that our holidays have changed in a way, from a normal holidays – by that I mean from all-inclusive holiday resorts like Benidorm and Tenerife to being places that are more Instagramable like Bali, Cuba, Cape Town, Paris, Budapest. You know what I mean?? We are also taking more city holidays than ever before because the truth is, is that not everybody wants to be on a beach, people want to be cultured, they want to discover things and I really think that that was all due to social media (as well as budget airlines of course)
So here are the most popular holiday destination of the 2010s:
Kimberley, South Africa, is home to the world’s largest diamond mine, also known as the “Big Hole.” Dug by humans and so large it is visible from space, the pit has yielded some of the world’s largest diamonds and made the De Beers name famous worldwide. Kimberley is the diamond-mining centre, and capital of Northern Cape province, South Africa. It lies near the Free State province border.
A little history lesson; Founded after the discovery of diamonds on farms in the area in 1869–71, the mining camp of Kimberley grew as a result of the intensive digging of the diamond-bearing pipe at the hill called Colesberg Koppie. The camp was named after John Wodehouse, 1st Earl of Kimberley, who was then British colonial secretary. The town of Kimberley was created in 1878 and incorporated into the Cape Colony in 1880.
Kimberley’s gardens and squares are dotted with memorials, including an equestrian statue of Rhodes. Important collections of Khoisan artefacts are in the Alexander McGregor Memorial Museum, and the Duggan-Cronin Bantu Gallery contains early 20th-century photographs of African miners. The city also has Anglican and Roman Catholic cathedrals.
So what actually is a near-space odyssey?? Well for £380,000 you get a private group space travel with the bloon company. Imagine being able to say that you have actually been to space, do you know how insane that sounds???? How many people besides astronauts can actually say that ??? Not a lot that’s for sure.
For me, this sounds like an absolute dream because I am one of those annoying people that is always questioning shit; such as did we actually land on the moon? What do astronauts do because it’s clear they don’t spend the majority of their time in space like your average job. Are we sure the earth isn’t flat and does the government genuinely watch and listen to everything we do? So this experience would be able to disprove my so-called ‘dumb’ conspiracy theories ?.
Astronauts have always described the view of earth from space as a life-changing experience. For me, I know for a fact that this entire experience would in some sort of way change the way I see life, I don’t know why I feel like this but do you know when people say they feel as though they’re in the presence of a greater being, whether or not that may be God, that is exactly how I would feel if i went to space and then seeing just how small the world is would make me feel some sort of way, as in it would make me appreciate everything a lot more. In addition to that, I think it would also make me feel so grateful because in reality this is a once in a lifetime experience and to be able to afford it is honestly a WOW.
Seeing as we now live in an environmentally cautious era – Bloon is a zero-emission vehicle that relies on a large ‘sail’ filled with static helium gas capable of lifting its capsule 22 miles into the earth’s atmosphere. Being devoid of any combustible fuels means that Bloon’s ascent is gentle, has zero impact on the environment, and is entirely noiseless. Mbombela, formerly known as Nelspruit (Nelspruit, which means literally Nels stream) is the capital of South Africa’s Mpumalanga Province. It’s a gateway to Kruger National Park, home to elephants, zebras, rhinos and other wildlife. The city’s Lowveld National Botanical Garden even features a man-made rainforest. Northwest are the prehistoric Sudwala Caves, with unusual rock formations. South, Umhloti Nature Reserve contains the Jane Goodall Institute’s Chimp Eden sanctuary.ue to its proximity to the world-famous Kruger National Park. Other than the Kruger National Park, there are also many tourist attractions within easy driving distance, such as Sudwala Caves, Bourke’s Luck potholes, Kruger Park, Panorama Route, Kaapschehoop, Pilgrim’s Rest, Long Tom Pass, Dullstroom Bird of Prey & Rehabilitation CentreWhether or not you’re an adrenaline junkie the list of things to do in this city is endless!
The charming town of Knysna (pronounced ny-znah) lies in the Western Cape Province of South Africa and is part of the Garden Route. Never in this life would you ever think that this beautiful town is located in South Africa because I mean look at how clear that water is!! Not to mention, Knysna is a natural paradise of, indigenous forests, tranquil lakes and golden beaches, it is South Africas very own Garden of Eden. The town nestles on the banks of a breathtakingly pretty lagoon that is now a protected marine reserve that is home to the extraordinary Knysna seahorse and over 200 species of fish. It may be small but there is an endless opportunity for leisure and outdoor adventure. Fun Fact – Knysna, Formerly the centre of the timber industry, supplying yellowwood and stinkwood for railway lines, shipping and house-building, it still has several shops specialising in woodwork and traditional furniture.
I am such a wimp so when it comes to South Africa, one place I can never stay in is central Johannesburg, especially in light of everything that has been happening in the press involving South Africa! Imagine my small self – a Zimbabwean girl who grew up in the U.K. staying in central Joburg AKA a disaster waiting to happen. That is why Sandton is the solution and more of my scene, it is an affluent area situated in the Johannesburg Municipality. The name comes from the combination of two of its suburbs, Sandown and Bryanston. Sandton is a popular area for visitors to stay in when exploring Johannesburg and its surrounding attractions.
The Apartheid museum – If you ask me this is a must if you are visiting Johannesburg. By going here you will receive an insight into 20th century South Africa along with the history of the country and the key individuals which helped to bring apartheid to an end. Visitors are randomly classified as “white” or “non-white,” and their ensuing experience through the exhibits reflects their assigned race.
Montecasino – The premiere entertainment destination in Gauteng offers the best of the best for people coming in out of town.
SAB World of Beer– Voted Johannesburg’s number one tourist attraction twice. Here you will discover the rich history of beer, and uncover the important role it has played culturally, socially and economically over time.
Johannesburg Art Gallery – Love art and history? Why not visit JAG, it is home to an impressive historical art collection and houses one of the biggest art collections in the country.
Go shopping in Sandton City, the biggest shopping mall in Johannesburg and one of the biggest in Africa which holds hundreds of top high street and designer stores!
On Sunday why not spend the day at the Fourways Farmers’ Market located directly opposite the large Montecasino entertainment complex. There is plenty of opportunities to buy handmade chocolates as well as ice creams and other sweet treats, and if you are looking for gifts there are a number of cute craft stalls. There is a lot of space for kids to run around and for the grown-ups, there’s a wine and craft beer bar where you can enjoy performances by local folk singers.
VisitThe Cradle of Humankind – one of South Africa’s eight world heritage sites and the only one in Gauteng and take a hot air balloon ride across the entire site to see it in all its glory.
If you love good food and an intimate shopping experience then you’ll enjoy Parkhurst’s buzzing village atmosphere. Take a cab or catch the Gautrain to nearby Rosebank, within walking distance of the suburb.
Most people come to Africa to go on a luxury safari trip of their dreams so why not go to the Dinokeng Game Reserve, a range of wild animals in their natural habitat.
With so much to do an see in the Magaliesburg, it would be a shame to miss out on it
I bet you all think I’m joking when I say there is a St. Lucia in SA but I can confirm to you that this is in fact 100% true and something that I didn’t even know about until literally a few hours ago and I just thought I had to write a blog post about this! There are clearly some obvious differences about the island of St. Lucia and the actual town in South Africa including the fact that there are no volcanic beaches, reef-diving sites, luxury resorts and fishing villages but instead you get hippo and crocodile cruises, night safari’s, beach excursions and so much more!
Fun fact about South Africa’s paradise on earth is that it is a municipality meaning that it is a small town with its very own local government. Awarded as a World Heritage site in 1999 (Unesco), this small but quaint village has fast become a top tourist destination. St Lucia also happens to be the most visited town in Africa to witness our beloved Hippos. According to Lonely Planet in high season St Lucia is a hotbed of activity as the population swells with visitor numbers. The main drag, McKenzie St (a former hippo pathway), is packed with restaurants, lively hostels and bars, but the quieter avenues behind it offer a touch more hush and a good selection of B&Bs. Hippos sometimes amble down the town’s quieter streets (beware: these are not cute, just dangerous).

Among the accommodation this is my favourite, the rest were ether old fashioned or they just didn’t have a nice aesthetic, but at least if any of you ever wanna go to St. Lucia I have made the accommodation bit that little easier as I have only given you one option lol.
