Considering how any times I have been to South Africa with my family I think that you would find it hard to believe that I have never been to a national park, unless you count seeing crocodiles and elephants on the way to my grandmothers house. However I do plan on going to Kruger National park within the next few years as it is one of the top places to visit on my bucket list!
Kruger National Park is one of Africa’s largest and one of the worlds most famous and greatest game reserves ever! If you haven’t heard of it, you’ve been living under a rock for your entire life! Its high density of wild animals includes all of Africa’s iconic safari species – elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, rhino, buffalo, giraffe, hippo and zebra. It’s truly an amazing place to visit and an experience that you will carry with you for the rest of your life.
The good thing about the park is that it is open all year round. Depending on your preference and schedule you can visit the park at any time. However June to September is the best time for Wildlife viewing as although it is winter this is when the park is at it’s driest and animals meet at waterholes. From January to March it is very hot and quiet and seeing as schools are open accommodation is easy to find. In April and May it is rutting-season and you can see animals such as the impala, wildebeest and other species go head to head.
In recent months I have kind of neglected my ‘what I would buy/spend my time if I won the lottery’ but no more, my series is back and is back with a bang. I am here to inspire all you dreamers and optimist out there. The good thing about dreamers is that we’re always positive and optimistic about the future, we only hope for the best and see the best in everything and everyone. Sometimes it can be a good and bad thing. But sometimes there is no point in dreaming if all it’s ever going to be is a dream. We should all try and pursue our dreams no matter how big or small they are because anyone can achieve anything in life if they try hard enough, right now I’m working my hardest to try and pursue mine – I’m writing to you guys. It’s better to know that you tried rather than to give up and not try at all because in the end you could be living the life that you have always dreamed of. You could be living your dream. However if you never try you will always be wondering what if and you’ll never be truly happy. Do you want to be living someone else’s dream or yours? Although, life does not always go the way that we intend we have two choices; we can either take control and start living our lives or we can just let thing pass and exist. What are you going to do?
Last year I did one of these and it was very popular so I decided to do another one and make this an annual thing. With 10 weeks to spare I have decided to dedicate this post to Europe, we are going to go to as many places as possible. Last years post included a range of different places but this year I discovered just how beautiful the continent of Europe is and I thought that I might give you a few places to add to your travel bucket list and hopefully inspire you! I love discovering new places, learning new languages and experiences other cultures, it would be a dream for me to travel the world.
If we are going to spend an entire summer travelling around Europe we need to travel in style and what better way to travel than by private jet! A whole plane to yourself and your loved ones that fits your schedule, it doesn’t get any better than that. My number one choice of private jet charter would definitely have to be Private Fly. Although I haven’t tested them out myself I have done my research and they have some of the best reviews, I can trust that if you ever book with them you would be in great hands. And you get to choose your aircraft too! The high life is truly amazing.

I cannot believe We’re already half way through the year. How is it June already? I honesty cannot get over how fast this year is going by. It’s literally flying by and I don’t know how I feel about that, I feel as though I’ve only accomplished a few of my resolutions and now I only have 6 months to try and complete the rest of them!
It’s hard to believe that it’s almost been a year since I last visited my hometown of Bulawayo because I remember it like it was yesterday. And it’s almost been a year since I went to France with my favourite people. And it’s been 3 years since I went to Amsterdam. It’s unbelievable. The last four years of my life have gone by so quickly for me, it’s kind of hard to comprehend.
Considering I go to Bulawayo almost every single year without fail you’d think that I’d be an expert by now, but no not really. I still don’t know the city centre but I know the best place for brunch – 26 on park. It was during our first few days in Bulawayo and we’d just come back from the country visiting my grandmother and my Auntie and I were looking for a good place to eat and a friend of my cousin recommended 26 on park.
It’s situated in the suburbs of Bulawayo away from all the chaos. It’s peaceful and the scenery is beautiful. Not to mention the food is amazing, I would highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
A few months ago I came across the village of Portofino and I instantly fell in love. Portofino is hands down one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in my entire life! It may sound like an exaggeration but it truly is. The village is so incredibly breath taking and like nothing that I have ever seen before.
It is no surprise that this is a go to destination for the super rich and famous! You cannot go wrong with Pastel-colored houses, high-end boutiques and seafood restaurants, a small cobbled square overlooking the harbor, lined with super-yachts, you will feel like you have gone back to the 1950’s and 60’s! Portofino is a place of history, beauty, luxury, adventure. It might even be one of the most instagramable places you’ll ever see and I cannot wait for the day that I get to experience it for myself!
2 more weeks and I finally get a chance to relax, the only sad thing is is that i’m not going away this holiday which is very upsetting because I am in desperate need of a vacation, I just need a break from everything and everyone. Sometimes it’s good to get away from reality and get a chance to be alone and spend time with just you and your loved ones and kick back, relax, enjoy life and appreciate everything that it has to offer. Life is so precious and sacred which is why we should make the most of it and travel as much as possible and see as much of he world as we possibly can whilst we’re still active because there so much of the world that is yet to be discovered, we don’t even know the half of it!
Considering that I am of African origin and I go back to South Africa and Zimbabwe every year I still find it hard to believe that I have never been on a safari unless you count seeing elephants and crocodiles on the way to your grandparents house. Recently I was looking for African tour deals online and I stumbled upon Londolozi a company that offers the most luxurious deals and experiences ever! The values of Londolozi are within the name, in Zulu Londolozi translates to protector of all living things and funnily enough Londolozi is a company that is based on eco tourism, (this is where my GCSE geography skills come into use) the aim of ecotourism is to reduce the impact that tourism has, meaning that they try to conserve the environment around them whilst also looking out for the well being of the local people, it is all about creating sustainable travel that Is not only economically beneficial but also environmentally and socially friendly. Although holidays that are based around eco tourism can be expensive they are becoming more and more popular as people are starting to realise just how important the world is and that we need to conserve it as best we can for the future, they are totally worth every penny because as a guest you are educated on the area that you are in and you learn about the history of the local people and how the land came to be or how the animals live etc, there are no other holidays out there like these, they also contribute to sustainable change in helping to keep the environment the way it is for future generations to come it also helps to boost the local economy so that the locals can build hospitals and pay for their education so that they can get well payed jobs and improve their quality of life.
Londolozi offer a range of packages but My favorite has to be Kruger park – Bazaruto, It’s the best of both worlds; a 5 day safari trip and another 5 days on a white sand beach with crystal blue waters. What could be any better than that? You can choose from a platinum and gold package depending on your budget and you can also customise the itinerary to suit your preferences.
The first part of the trip starts off at one of one of Africa’s most luxurious hotels ever – Londolozi in Sabi Sands South Africa close to Kruger National Park, this place has so much to offer from 24 hour safaris to wellness spas. You’ll never be bored. Safaris are once in a lifetime experiences for most people and are like nothing that you will ever experience in your lifetime, this is as close as you will ever get to the big 5 and most of the worlds most well known animals! Safaris are all round great trips whether your going as a family with young kids or as a couple maybe on your honeymoon or even by yourself!
The second part of our journey takes us to Azura lodge on the sandy island of Bazaruto where we will spend 5 nights in a luxurious beach villa, It is located on the largest island in the Bazaruto Archipelago in Mozambique. Hands down you will have the time of your life at this all inclusive beach resort, it has some of the worlds best diving and snorkelling you will ever see, it is also Mozambique’s first luxury eco-boutique retreat.
So that ladies and gentlemen is how I would spend my February vacation if I had the money and i’m pretty sure that I would have one hell of a time!
First of all Happy New Year and Happy 1st Birthday to my beloved blog! I hope that 2017 is your best year yet and that you may achieve every single goal that you set yourself this year. Personally my goal for this year is to blog more and grow my blog because I love what I do and I would love to become a full time blogger in the future and run my very own luxury magazine. I love the new year because it’s a time when you can reevaluate yourself and see what you need to change to improve your lifestyle. I don’t know about you but 2016 was an okay year for me and I plan to make 2017 a year that I will never forget, filled with so many new adventures and opportunities I plan to try new things, go to new places, make new friends and just live my life to the absolute fullest whilst I’m still young, it is going to be the most amazing year of my life yet!
To kick start the new year I thought that I would give you guys some ideas on where to go for your winter vacation. If your anything like me then you HATE winter and everything that it brings with it; dark, cold and windy short days, and worst of all you can’t wear your favourite outfits without feeling like your going to freeze to death unless it’s a huge coat or some type of knitwear, not to mention it’s the peak of cold and flu season so you can’t go out as much as you would hope. The only good thing about winter are the huge coats and jackets that may or may not ruin you outfit at times. Personally I love summer, I love the weather, the outfits and most of all I love the atmosphere, everything is so happy, bright and cheerful!
If your looking for a get away as much as I am here are the places that I would recommend;
Bahamas
I have always wanted to go to the Bahamas, it is a coral-based archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean. My favourite island has to be Paradise Island, it is home to the Atlantis Paradise Island – one of the best resorts in the entire world! Scuba diving and snorkeling sites include the massive Andros Barrier Reef, Thunderball Grotto (used in James Bond films) and the black-coral gardens off Bimini.
Mexico
Meico is everything the British winter is not: light, colour, exoticism; warm and exuberant. Parties on the beach, yoga under the trees, a dip in dappled-light cenotes. The weather is wonderful in January: hot but not-too-hot, with barely any rain at all.
South Africa
Amazing food, amazing wine, amazing beaches, amazing hotels and amazing scenery. January – march are the best months for exploring South Africa with so much to do you’ll never be bored.
Australia’s Gold Coast
The weather’s hot but not too hot. Food, drink, beaches, private islands… everything is big and bold and in style. It is also home to theme parks such as Dreamworld, Sea World and Wet’n’Wild.
Hong Kong
One of the most fascinating city in the Far East, Hong Kong burns brightly on the map of the region – half Chinese metropolis, half global icon. It calls to every camera amid the skyscrapers which dot the Central district on its core island.
Dubai
The glitziest of the United Arab Emirates! Known for luxury shopping, ultramodern architecture and a lively nightlife scene Dubai is a truly unique city.
Maldives
The Indian Ocean’s most celebrated cluster of islands is in full of sun in January. The clear blue waters are so beautiful you will have the time of your life!
When most people think about going to South Africa they mainly think about going to the beach or going on a safari but no one ever really talks going to amazing small towns like Stellenbosch, most probably because they have never heard of them, but I just have to say that they are just as amazing as the big cities if not better! They may be small but they have a lot to offer as well as peace, tranquility, culture and lots of fun.
Stellenbosch is a university town in Western Cape. It’s surrounded by the most magnificent vineyards of the Cape Winelands and the mountainous nature reserves of Jonkershoek and Simonsberg. The town’s oak-shaded streets are filled with cafes, boutiques and art galleries. Cape Dutch architecture gives a sense of South Africa’s Dutch colonial history, as do the Village Museum’s period houses and gardens.
Stellenbosch Vineyards is a leading wine producer and exporter set in the heart of South Africa’s wine industry with over 200 wine producers in the valley, stop for wine-tasting, take a walk through the vineyards, go on a wine safari, blend your own wine and make a personalised label for your Cape Blend, or learn about the art of wine-making from the perspective of a local farmer.
The town of Stellenbosch dates back to 1679 and the first vineyards were planted in 1679. The Stellenbosch Wine Route was founded in 1971. Now known as the Stellenbosch American Express Wine Routes, it is divided into five sub-routes and is the second-oldest wine producing region in South Africa, world-renowned for its award-winning wines.
Looking for a holiday home in South Africa but don’t really know where to look? Why not Zimbali? With so much to do It’s the perfect place for a vacation whether you want to be alone, with family or you significant other!
To be completely honest I never even knew that this place existed until a few weeks ago but I think that you’d all agree with me when I say that this place is truly amazing. Africa is just full of wonderful surprises!
Located 45km north of Durban Zimbali Coastal Resort, one of Southern Africa’s most finest Coastal Residential Estates is situated on a pristine stretch of KwaZulu-Natal’s Dolphin Coast. In Zulu Zimbali translates to ‘valley of flowers’. Most of the architecture on the is influenced by Indonesia, you feel like your at peace and can relax away from the rest of the world and the majestic estate offers residents and guests an exceptional quality of life within a pristine natural environment. This is a place of beauty, filled with tremendous plant, bird and animal wildlife. Incorporating one of the three remaining coastal forests in KwaZulu-Natal, it harbours a wealth of natural water. How breathtaking does this sound?

Although Zimbali has it’s very own beach there are also around 8 other beaches located within a close proximity.
Zimbali Beach – located within the Zimbali Coastal Estate. It has 3km of unspoilt beach and offers beach goers the contrasting beauty of the green forest estate with the deep blue warm Indian Ocean.
Thompsons bay – located north of Ballito. This beach is another extremely popular destination and has both qualified lifeguards and shark nets to ensure safety at all times
