I can’t lie to you guys, the bags on the high street are really not it, I literally tried so hard and could only find a few, when in reality I was expecting to find a bunch of super cool bags! I spent hours looking and I’m so disappointed! Even Topshop which is usually my holy grail destination for bags disappointed me. I’m actually so annoyed, why is it hard to find cute affordable bags, why are all the nice one’s designer?? Can the Hugh street please step up their game because us uni students want to look adorable on a budget, not break into our overdraft!
I’ve realised that lately, over the last few years unless they’re huge shopper bags, the high street only does fashionable mini’s and shoulder bags, which of course are on-trend but what about us uni students who want a cute bag to carry our books in?? Or the workaholics who are fashionable queens. We’re suffering here. River island even tried doing a dupe to the Dior book tote and I have never hated a bag so much in my life, it was so disgraceful.
But any who, these are my favourites and deffo the best on the high street, a lot of them are dupes but still cute af
The fact that winter is basically over and we can’t even enjoy the sun makes me so upset, so it really makes me wonder what’s the point in all these blog posts if I can’t showcase my fits? Well, I have realised that the days I spend in my pyjamas are my least productive and without a doubt my most depressing. I mean we all remember the saying that the world is your runway right? And that shouldn’t change in lockdown, add a cute bag to your quarantine outfit and take some cute pictures. Buy that bag and plan out your outfits so that when all of this is over you can show the world what they have been missing out on!

Is it just me or is Bottega taking over the fashion industry! Last year it was their heeled sandals that were dominating summer and now their clouded clutches (officially known as the pouch) are taking over too. Bottega Veneta is known to be the hothouse of the minute and I could not agree more! The pouch is the bag of the moment, everyone either has one or wants one. It’s nearly impossible to scroll through Instagram without coming across the bag, it’s that popular. Never in a million years did I ever think that that this bag would be as successful as it is with the concurrent trend for structured top-handle totes. Kering, the conglomerate that owns Bottega Veneta, reported that it is the brand’s fastest-selling bag in its history, with hundreds being sold every week!
If there is anything that I love in this world, it’s bags, more specifically designer bags! The material, the design, the quality, just everything about them! I still haven’t received by first designer bag as of yet and until that day comes I will continue to add bags that I cannot afford to my ever growing and never ending wishlist. if I had the money I would probably own more designer bags than the Kardashian sisters combined! That is no lie.
My love for bags probably began when my mum bought me my first ever tiny denim hand bag at the innocent age of 4, I took it everywhere I went and ever since then I have adored bags. I have always envisioned that the first designer bag I will ever buy myself will be a Chanel, more precise a boy bag, there is no doubt about it!
Spring is coming and I cannot wait to be done with winter. Spring may not be my favourite season but it is one step closer to summer and that means brighter, warmer and longer days for us here in the UK. And as much as I love a good quality knit I cannot wait to get my legs out and embrace the sun. I am ready for spring, I am ready for brighter and warmer days, I am ready for summer!
Last season embroidered bags were everywhere and this year is certainly no different. For this coming season of spring designers brought out so many bold designs with the brightest of colours. Spring has never been so colourful!
